Also, cool update with the local soaps by Virgin Islands Creations. They have found a way to make their own coconut oil from local coconuts and will be using their own in their soap combinations going forward! Congrats to them, that means they will now be offering more scent options that previously they were not able to use now that they have their base sourced locally! This is a huge accomplishment, congrats to them!

We now enter another season change in our local food culture. Nice cooler temperature, change in fruits of the season. Sorrel is in full swing, guavaberries are ripening.

This week we highlights the locally made FIRE Cider on the market. As we enter the cold and flu season, now is a great time to incorporate immune boosting ingredients into our diets. And it’s a real treat that we have access to locally made of fire ciders.

Haven’t heard of a Fire Cider before?
If you’re into herbal medicine, this item would be considered a real special find to have in your medicine cabinet this December. It’s very good for boosting your immune system. It is kind of like drinking fire because of the Apple cider and horseradish base. Fire ciders are really great for warming your Chi energy during these colder months.

Some other great buys this week: kombuchas, scallions, bok choy, local jams, breads and locally made moisturizing soaps!
